– A professional version called “Facebook at Work” would reportedly pit the social network against LinkedIn, Microsoft and Google. (Reuters) In an effort to be more than a time-waster for idle employees, Facebook is creating a version of its social networking site for the office. The new product, called “Facebook at Work,” will “allow users to chat with colleagues, connect with professional contacts and collaborate over documents,” the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
