trib.al – Twelve days ago — and one day after winning the Senate majority — soon-to-be Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) held a post-election news conference in which he sounded a distinctly bipartisan note. “I think there are a lot of people who believe that just because you have divided government doesn’t mean you don’t accomplish anything,” he said. “We ought to see what areas of agreement there are and see if we can make some progress for the country.
