nytimes.com – A woman who died of an apparent heart attack at a Brooklyn hair salon and who had recently been in one of the countries most affected by the Ebola outbreak tested negative for the virus, New York City health officials said on Wednesday morning. The woman, whose name was not released, came to the United States almost three weeks ago from Guinea, in West Africa, the health department said. She did not show symptoms of the virus before her death, but she was being monitored out of “an abundance of caution,” because she had a travel history within the 21-day incubation period for the virus.
