Although the team took an early lead, it was trounced by the Pittsburgh Panthers, 70-54. When the game ended, it was late. And the Purple Eagles were exhausted. “It was an exciting game, but didn’t turn out as we wanted it to,” Emily Granruth, a 19-year-old guard, told The Washington Post in a telephone interview late Tuesday night.
