nytimes.com – Photo WASHINGTON — House Democrats, after bruising midterm election losses, opted on Tuesday to stick with their current party leaders. Representative Nancy Pelosi of California was chosen to serve as minority leader for another two years despite quiet dissent within the party resulting from the net loss of an additional 12 seats in the Republican-controlled House. Ms. Pelosi, a prolific fund-raiser who has led the party since becoming speaker in 2007 (a post she relinquished when Republicans took back the majority in 2010), brushed off the reports of grumblings from fellow Democrats.
