– Duration: 02:23 Stay-at-home dad, Richard Jones, thinks “few dads will take up” the offer of shared leave when new parental leave legislation is introduced next spring. The new laws will entitle new parents to share fifty-two weeks of parental leave between themselves. The legislation, which the Liberal Democrats introduced last year, is aimed at reducing the pressure on women who feel that they’re being forced in to choosing between their career and motherhood, as well as offering men the opportunity to be more hands-on in the early months of their children’s lives.
